Firearms Transfers

Firearms can be purchased online and shipped directly to Black Cat Firearms for transfer and pickup. Only the purchaser can take possession of the firearm. The transfer fee is $35 (cash or check) for the first firearm, and $10 for each additional firearm in the same transaction. We can also facilitate firearms transfers between private parties in CT. We follow all applicable state and federal laws with regards to firearms transfers, and transfers will not be completed until a successful NICS background check has been conducted.

Note: We are currently not licensed to deal with NFA restricted items.

Online Order Transfer Process

1. Order your firearm(s) online and have it shipped to Black Cat Firearms LLC. We can provide a copy of our FFL to the sending FFL upon request.
2. Fill out the form below or call us with the details so we can be prepared for the delivery of your firearm.
3. We will contact you when your firearm is delivered and we’ll make an appointment for you to come here and complete the process. Please note that you must schedule a pickup appointment and we may not have an appointment on the day that the firearm is delivered.
4. When you arrive, you’ll fill out necessary state and federal forms, we will conduct an NICS background check, and if the background check is approved you’ll take your firearm home the same day. Please be sure to bring a valid CT drivers license and a CT pistol permit, CT long gun eligibility certificate, or any other required documents to your appointment.
